The third vaccine of Coronavirus will be available in India next week. The first consignment of Sputnik V made in Russia (1.5 million doses) reached India on 1 May. The second shipment will also arrive today or tomorrow. The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has joined hands with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to make this vaccine available in India. More than 50 countries around the world have been approved for Sputnik V Vaccines.
The price of the Russian-made ‘Sputnik V’ anti-corona vaccine in India has finally been announced. According to Doctor Reddy Laboratories, the imported Sputnik V vaccine will cost around approx Rs 1,000. The basic price of the vaccine will be Rs 948 plus 5 per cent GST (Rs 47.40) for each dose of the vaccine. Therefore, the beneficiaries will have to pay a total of Rs 995.40 for each dose of this vaccine. However, the cost of a dose of Sputnik V vaccine manufactured in India may be slightly lower.
